Personal Training

Our personal training services are for men and women of all ages and fitness levels. We will custom design a personalized exercise program tailored to meet your own unique health and fitness goals. If you are unsure of your goals, we can help you set them and get you started on a program that is right for you.

Working with a Forward Fitness trainer removes all the guesswork from your program. All you need to do is show up for your appointment with your workout gear, and your trainer will coach you through a time-efficient workout that will produce maximum results. Your trainer will continue to adapt your program as you improve, and continuously consult with you regarding your likes, dislikes, and level of satisfaction regarding your training sessions.

You may choose to train on your own or with a partner (spouse, friend, co-worker, etc). Exercising with a partner can be both fun and cost-effective, and help provide you with additional motivation to get yourself to the gym, while still getting focused attention from your trainer.

Partner programs meet the objectives of both you and your partner, specifically addressing each individual’s unique needs and goals. Like one-on-one personal training, your trainer will continue to adapt the program as you and your partner improve, and continuously consult with you regarding your likes, dislikes, and overall satisfaction with your training sessions.

Nutrition

Fitness is not just about what we do with our bodies, it's about what we feed our bodies, too. In order to see the greatest success you need to pay attention to your nutrition. We have worked with a number of local and talented nutritionists, and can help you find the best partner for your needs.

Speaking

Garfield is known for his contagious energy. He combines an expert level of physical fitness with an acute awareness of how to get the most out of people. As he says, “Sometimes people respond to a tough workout – a real kick in the butt. But other times I sense something in them that directs me to change it up; to get at something from a different angle and overcome a hurdle or to provide a new challenge.”

Through his ability to motivate and excite others, Garfield has been asked to speak at events ranging from local schools to community events and has been a key-note speaker at various conferences.

In the winter of 2011 Garfield was asked to co-host CBC’s Canada-wide promotional tour for CBC Live, alongside local TV News anchors like Claire Martin. Garfield has also been featured in segments for the Live Right Now campaign that were used for the Stephen and Chris show.

Garfield also contributes his professional singing talents to help raise money for the Shooting Stars Foundation at their annual Motown Meltdown (see a video here)and Starry Night concerts. Having performed on stage for years, Garfield enjoys getting back into singing for this great cause.
